Local Storage Only

The App stores the following information locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults:

Filter Preferences: Your selected location type filters (e.g., Libraries, Cafes, Buildings, Food)
Status Filters: Your selected status filters (e.g., Open Now, Closed, Opening Soon)

            Important: Search queries are processed in real-time and are not stored. All stored preferences remain on your device and are never shared with us or any third parties.
        

How We Use Information

Since we do not collect personal information, we do not:

Use your data for any purpose
Share your data with third parties
Sell your data
Use your data for advertising
Track your usage

All app functionality operates entirely on your device using locally stored location data from the University of Washington campus.

Third-Party Services

Apple Maps

The App uses Apple Maps to provide directions and map functionality. When you tap "Get Directions," the App opens Apple Maps with the location coordinates.

Important: Your use of Apple Maps is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to any information about your use of Apple Maps or your location when using Apple Maps.

Location Services

UW Locations does not request or use your device's location services.

The App does not access your GPS location
You will not be prompted for location permissions
The App does not track your location
All location data displayed is static campus location information

Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit personal information, there is no risk of data breaches or unauthorized access to your personal data through our App. All data stored locally on your device is protected by iOS security measures.

Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. Since we do not collect any personal information, the App is safe for users of all ages.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data to:

Access
Modify
Delete
Export

All preferences stored locally on your device can be reset by deleting and reinstalling the App.
